BREAKFAST will be held at North Little Rock’s Wyndham Riverfront Hotel on Thursday, May 1, 6:30 a.m. The 90 minute program consists of breakfast, a musical program and a dynamic keynote speaker, who this year will be Rev. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO WORK WITH THE TAPE MINISTRY. Captains, people to make the tapes, and people to deliver the tapes are needed. This is a one month commitment four times a year. The tapes are delivered on Sunday afternoons. If you are interested in this valuable service, we will train you in the area you volunteer for. Jim Jackson is the Chairman of the Tape Ministry. ATTENTION ALL WOMEN OF THE CHURCH - Did you know that you are eligible to belong to the United Methodist Women of Gardner UMC? This is a group of women who do a great service for the church. They meet quarterly for a light meal, business meeting and program. There are five fellowships that you are invited to join. There are four that meet in the day - Lamplighters, Serendipity, Bible Study and Visitation - and two that meet in the evenings - Progressive and Sharing. If you would like more information on these fellowships, please call the office.

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS
After the dreary days of April are over we will begin our spring cleanup of the church. Members of the SPR Committee and Trustee Committee will soon be asking for your help to spruce up both the inside and outside of the building during the month of May. We want the light of Gardner to shine, so just say Yes!
SENDING SOULS TO MEXICO - THE TEEN ANGEL UMW CIRCLE of Levy United Methodist Church is collecting wearable used shoes to send to Mexico. Tie laces together or attach shoes together in a pair. You may take the shoes to Levy UMC, 701 West 47th Street, North Little Rock, or call 258-1604 for more details or to have them picked up.
FREE DENTAL SERVICE May 2 - 3, 2008
Statehouse Convention Center (next to Peabody Hotel in downtown Little Rock) May 2-3, 2008. Doors open at 7:00 a.m. There are no eligibility or income requirements. No appointments are necessary - first come, first served. Children and adults are welcomed. Services include fillings and extractions (Cleanings will NOT be provided). Paid parking is available in the River Market Parking Deck at 500 East 2nd Street and at the Robinson Center Parking Deck beneath the Doubletree Hotel. Patients can ride the trolley from the River Market area for a small fee.
